Private Piano Lessons

Every MajorKey student learns one-on-one with an instructor. That single decision shapes everything else about how lessons work: the pace of a lesson is set by the student’s actual progress, not a classroom average, and technique, note reading, and repertoire are introduced when the student is genuinely ready for them.

This is the format underlying every MajorKey program — whether a student is a complete beginner or has years of prior instruction, private lessons are how MajorKey teaches piano.

The Lesson Experience

Each lesson begins with a quick check-in on the past week’s practice, moves into focused technical and repertoire work, and ends with a clear plan for what to practice before the next session. Because it’s one-on-one, an instructor can slow down on a stubborn passage or move ahead quickly when a concept clicks — there’s no need to keep pace with a group.
